It may soon be time to kiss
Technorati goodbye (thank God). Google finally has its own search engine for blogs, and the beta version is up and running at
http://blogsearch.google.com. Unfortunately, the results don't seem to be anywhere near as current as Technorati's. In fact, the most recent NTB post I could find on the engine is already a week old. Based on the company's past performance, however, one has to assume that Google will work out these problems eventually.
One note for bloggers: Google Blog Search only indexes the content contained in a blog's RSS feed, not the website itself. So if your feed doesn't include the full-text of your posts, only a small portion of your content will be indexed. Just one more reason why everyone should be publishing full-text RSS feeds.
